This policy is provided in accordance with California Business & Professions Code §17538.5 and describes the acknowledgments applicable to customers renting a mailbox at a Freedom Mailbox® location in California.

By using Freedom Mailbox® services, California mailbox customers acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following disclosures:

Commercial Mail Receiving Agency Address

Freedom Mailbox® locations operate as Commercial Mail Receiving Agencies (CMRAs). The mailbox address provided to customers is not a residence and not a principal physical place of business.

No Address Misrepresentation

Customers may not represent a Freedom Mailbox® CMRA address as:
  • A residential address
  • A physical place of business
  • A location where the customer is personally present or conducts in-person business operations

Mail-Only Use

Mailbox addresses are provided solely for the receipt of mail and packages, and use of the address is subject to:
  • Freedom Mailbox® policies
  • USPS regulations
  • Carrier regulations
  • Applicable local, state, and federal law

Legal Disclosure & Record Access

Freedom Mailbox® may disclose customer information — including name, mailbox number, identification records, and related account information — to law enforcement or government agencies when required by law or valid legal process.

Accuracy of Customer Information

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all information provided to Freedom Mailbox®, including identification documents and contact details, is accurate, current, and complete.

Compliance & Enforcement

Misuse or misrepresentation of a CMRA address may violate state or federal law and may result in restriction, suspension, or termination of mailbox services without refund, including immediate termination where permitted by law.
